The decision to part ways with the Argentine came after an internal end-of-season review spearheaded by Blues sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, as well as co-controlling owner Behdad Eghbali.

The Blues enjoyed a solid finish to the season under Pochettino’s guidance, winning five games in a row to qualify for Europe. Pochettino had also helped develop players like Noni Madueke, Cole Palmer, and Malo Gusto.

Despite the upheaval at Stamford Bridge, Pochettino offered some consistency during his remaining year on the job.

According to Chilwell, Pochettino left a fantastic foundation for Chelsea’s next manager to build upon, although he was surprised to see the former Tottenham manager leave. He spoke to Sky Sports at the Monaco Grand Prix about how surprised he was to see the defense with Mason Mount, a former Blues hero.

It wаs unexpecteԀ given the teаm’s perfоrmаnce tоwаrԀs the cоnclusiоn оf the seаsоn, but I wish him the best оf luck in the future.

Plus, as a team, we need to start thinking about the future. I won’t get into the rumors about potential new hires, but I have faith that whoever does join the team will be successful so that we can move forward to the next season.

The Blues finally found consistency in their play towards the close of the season, losing only one of their last fifteen league games. This came after a rather inconsistent campaign overall.

Chelsea will participate in the Europa Conference League instead of the Europa League next season due to Man Utd’s FA Cup victory on Saturday, but the team still ended in sixth place.

Despite the loss, Chilwell was proud of his teammates’ run-in effort and thought they had silenced naysayers.

A sense of the incredible environment and camaraderie has been palpable on the pitch, he continued. The question of whether we could do it weekly seemed to be at the heart of all the inquiries.

“And it was absolutely captivating to witness how the team came together towards the latter part of the season.”

But Chilwell wаs nоt gоing tо be negаtive; insteаd, he wаs gоing tо try tо see the silver lining in his rejectiоn.

In his opinion, there are always positive aspects to any situation, and he advised his listeners to look on the bright side.

This seems like a great chance for me to take a vacation. Taking a long break isn’t something that happens very frequently, so I’m looking forward to it. I’ll refresh and be ready to go again next season.
