According to L’Equipe , PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi decided not to pay the French striker’s April salary and February bonus. This amount is equivalent to 87 million USD .
The club’s head seems to want Real Madrid , the team said to be Mbappe’s next stop, to pay Mbappe’s loyalty fee to them. However, Real Madrid President Florentino Perez affirmed that he will not pay any fee to the 2018 World Cup champion.
L’Equipe also revealed that when Mbappe refused to extend his contract with PSG to leave for free this summer, the French striker was isolated and faced the risk of reserve status throughout the season. To be allowed to play again, Mbappe must agree to refuse to accept a loyalty fee of 87 million USD .
Currently, lawyers representing PSG and Mbappe are working together. Mbappe’s side asked the Parc des Princes team to pay 87 million USD in salary and bonuses. PSG side wants to write an agreement about Mbappe refusing to accept loyalty fees last summer.
Mbappe joined PSG in the summer of 2017 with a contract worth 195 million USD . In the “Les Parisiens” shirt, the 2018 World Cup champion scored a total of 256 goals in 308 matches and brought 15 titles to the team. The 25-year-old player is likely to land at Real Madrid this summer.
