Bayer Munich is looking to push Upamecano into the transfer market this summer, after noticing a downward trend in the midfielder’s recent performance.
According to Sky Sport Germany, the Bavarian Gray Tigers want to sell off Upamecano this summer.
Upamecano is no longer trusted by Bayern Munich.
The French midfielder’s contract runs until 2026, so if he doesn’t sell soon, by the summer of 2025, Bayern Munich may be pressured by other teams because the French player’s contract is less than 1 year old.
Once the number 1 priority to start, Upamecano is now fighting to return to the lineup. However, the Frenchman is not considering a move in the summer, as he noted in a conversation with host Georg Holzner.
“I have not thought about leaving Bayer Munich. My contract is still until 2026. I want to stay at Bayern Munich to continue to try and make more efforts,” Upamecano said.
While Upamecano seems to have decided to stay, the Bavarian Gray Tigers no longer trust this midfielder. Bayer Munich is looking to settle Upamecano’s contract this summer.
