Before kickoff with Iceland, ENGLAND will look to demonstrate their ability to maintain a lead.

Three Lions stars competed in a dog agility tournament akin to Crufts, which was shown in anticipation of Channel 4’s coverage.

Before their last warm-up before the Euros in Germany, Anthony Gordon, Conor Gallagher, and Declan Rice put three dogs through their paces during some leisure.

Gallagher coupled with Harry Canine, Rice partnered with Collie Watkins, and Gordon partnered with a mutt named Jack Growlish in an event that was more paw-paw-two than 4-4-2.

However, two of the players’ attempts turned out to be as appetizing as dog food.

Each of the three has their own hounds, and Newcastle star Gordon, 23, disclosed, saying, “My dogs don’t listen to me.”

“However, they are good; they have positive energy.”

“He can jump up on his back two legs which is always quite cute but he’s not the most intelligent,” Chelsea ace Gallagher, 23, said of his puppy.

It was the most recent in a fun series of movies featuring English celebrities that also starred in Countdown and Bake Off.

However, manager Gareth Southgate has found less comedy in injuries to his defence team.

ENGLAND’S BONE FIDE XI OF BULLDOG SPIRIT

The Three Lions intend to win just their second major trophy when they compete in Euro 2024.

And after they won the World Cup in 1966, the trophy went missing and it took Pickles, a border dog, to retrieve it.

Therefore, here’s how England might line up if they want to equal past European icons like Franz Barkenbauer, Johan Crufts, and, um, John Terrier, as they add a dog-style challenge to their prep for Germany.

Lewis Dunk of Brighton will also miss the Iceland match while he heals from a leg injury.

All of this implies that Jarell Quansah, Liverpool’s breakout star, has been placed on standby.

The 21-year-old was left off of the final 26 but is part of the team for the last warm-up game on Friday.
