Despite intense interest from Bayern Munich and other major European clubs in 21-year-old Levi Colwill, no one at Chelsea is considering moving the player. According to Sky Germany, Munich have their sights set on Colwill and hope to lure him to the Allianz Arena this summer to assist new boss Vincent Kompany. The rumors linking the English defender to Munich aren’t going away.
Chelsea is aiming to make a killing by selling players like Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah, but selling Colwill would be the same as selling Gallagher or Chalobah, so Chelsea would still be out a player.
Colwill was left out of the Euros this summer, but Chelsea executives have told club media that he is not for sale and will not entertain conversations with the German giants regarding Colwill. The England youth international reportedly looks forward to collaborating with Mauricio Pochettino’s successor, Enzo Maresca, and Chelsea can relax knowing he has a contract until the summer of 2029 after signing a long-term deal last summer.Last season, Chelsea won their last five games and improved their league position from eleventh to sixth, but they were still not qualified for the Europa League because Manchester United upset Manchester City in the FA Cup. Despite this, Chelsea had a strong season overall.
In terms of player transfers, Chelsea have already signed Tosin Adarabioyo to replace Thiago Silva, who departed after four fruitful years with the club.
