Aleksandar Pavlović, a young player from Bayern Munich, has been ruled out of the European Championships due to his struggle with tonsillitis, as stated in a DFB press statement.
As a result of Aleksandar Pavlović’s physical condition, he will no longer be able to participate in the squad. In place of the player from FC Bayern Munich, Emre Can, who is currently playing for Borussia Dortmund, was substituted by national coach Julian Nagelsmann today. It is anticipated that the 43-time national player and winner of the Confederations Cup in 2017 would arrive at the base camp of the team in Herzogenaurach for the remainder of today.
The head coach of the German national team, Julian Nagelsmann, recently provided an explanation as to why he chose Can above other candidates, such as Leon Goretzka of Bayern Munich.
Since we are looking to add another number six to the team, we have made the decision to put forth Emre Can for consideration. Almost immediately, he communicated his eagerness and willingness to become a member of the team. It was important to us to have another guy on the team who has a lot of experience playing games and who is able to handle the pressure that comes with the job. He has the potential to fulfill the profile that we require at this time,” Nagelsmann stated.
During his news conference today, Jamal Musiala, a teammate of Pavlović’s from Bayern Munich, also made a comment regarding the tragic situation of Pavlović.
“I feel terrible for him,” she said. It brought him a great deal of joy to be there. Additionally, he was quite good in the gym. According to Musiala, there is no doubt that he will maintain a cheerful attitude (as caught by @iMiaSanMia).
