At the Olympiastadion Berlin, Spain’s Rodri tackled Croatia’s Ivan Perisic in their 2024 Euro Group B match.

Petkovic had a penalty saved by Unai Simon, but he found a way to score after receiving an assist from Ivan Perisic. The referee eventually disallowed the goal, but the Croats still celebrated by running off the field.

Video assistant referees and the referee both saw that Perisic dashed inside the penalty area prior to its implementation.

The goal was disallowed since this is not allowed; a retake was not even considered.
