Mbappe sued PSG for 100 million euros in salary and bonuses that he has not yet received

Despite being busy attending EURO 2024 with the French national team, striker Kylian Mbappe still continuously urges PSG to “transfer” him an amount of up to 100 million euros.

Mbappe spent 7 years with the French capital representative before agreeing to play for Real. To get Mbappe, Real did not have to pay a transfer fee because the former Monaco striker did not renew his contract with PSG. According to L’Équipe, Mbappe is asking PSG to pay him 100 million euros in salary and bonuses that he has not received yet. Part of this is a loyalty bonus.

To put pressure on PSG, Mbappe’s representative cited Article 259 of the professional football law. Article 259 stipulates that clubs must pay bonuses to players at the end of each month, but PSG has not fulfilled this obligation to Mbappe since April.

Mbappe has tried to be patient with PSG, but the Ligue 1 champions’ refusal to pay the remaining €100 million has forced him to act. So far, the tension has not escalated to the point of a legal dispute. When Mbappe made his request, the parties were negotiating in the hope of finding common ground and the most amicable solution.

At EURO 2024, Mbappe is considered the number 1 hope of the French national team. In the first round, he did not score but the blue team still won the minimum victory against Austria. Not only did he “fail to score”, Mbappe also broke his nose , forcing him to miss the second round. Without Mbappe’s service, France only managed a 0-0 draw when competing with big opponents the Netherlands.
