According to reports, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have begun bidding for a forward from Lille

Many Premier League clubs have shown interest in a Ligue 1 forward who has scored 19 goals, including Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Neither club has reportedly made an official bid to sign the Canadian international, but if the two premier league clubs decide to pursue the deal further, they may face fierce competition.

This summer, both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to bolster their frontline, but with so few players available, the two clubs will undoubtedly engage in fierce bidding wars for any player they want.According to Sky Sports News, Jonathan David, a forward for Lille, is being closely monitored by more than just these two Premier League clubs.

Before taking out to represent Canada at the Copa America this summer, the 24-year-old scored 26 goals and added nine assists in 47 appearances across all competitions for his current club last season.

Several clubs are keeping tabs on the 48-cap international, but according to the report, Lille has not officially reached out to any of the interested parties.
