Chelsea have not yet contacted Bologna over Joshua Zirkzee’s transfer

In regards to Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee, a Dutch striker, Manchester United has not formally contacted him.

After much speculation about a summer transfer to Milan, the 23-year-old is reportedly of interest to the Red Devils.

The Premier League heavyweights are reportedly interested in acquiring a striker with Rasmus Hojlund-like traits, but they have not yet informed Bologna of their willingness to match their €40 million release clause, according to Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo.

Milan is still in the driver’s seat to sign the player, according to Longo, but he says they could make contact with the player next week while he’s playing for the Netherlands at Euro 2024.

The agent for Zirkzee, Kia Joorabchian, has allegedly sought a fifteen percent commission on any prospective sale, which has stoked controversy.

While the Rossoneri have acknowledged the release clause, they are unwilling to give Joorabchian the percentage he has requested.
