The Euros are still going strong this summer, and the group stages are almost over. England, who at the very least finished third in the group, will play tonight having already making it to the knockout stages.
However, there were also games last night, with some Chelsea involvement.Because Spain had already qualified for the knockout stages prior to the match, they opted to rest a few starters, leaving Marc Cucurella as an unutilized substitute.
Armando Broja, a Chelsea striker who entered the game as a second-half substitute, was a member of the Albanian team that lost to his club 1-0.
At the end, everyone was grinning.
Cucurella and Broja had some time to talk after the game, as you can see in the pictures above. They also shared a smile and some clothes, with Cucurella being seen carrying Broja’s shirt.
Broja returns home, but Cucurella continues. The Spaniard’s tournament run has been excellent thus far.
Declan Rice commends the Chelsea youngster for “what he has done” and says he will shine
Declan Rice, a midfielder for Arsenal and England, has been complimenting a Chelsea player this week and believes he will only get better.
The remarks were made ahead of England’s Euro 2016 match against Slovenia in Germany, which Rice is obviously anticipated to start.Alongside Rice, it appears that Conor Gallagher of Chelsea will start in the England midfield, starting in place of Trent Alexander Arnold. This is the only change made by Gareth Southgate’s team as they attempt to qualify for the knockout stages and, additionally, follow up on recent criticism with a strong performance.
Until now, Gallagher has only been able to play off the bench twice; however, tonight is not expected to be his first start. In some remarks that were picked up on X, Rice has been complimenting his anticipated midfield teammate for tonight.
Conor Gallagher’s season at Chelsea this year has been witnessed by you, and if he does start, I believe you will witness everything he has accomplished there.
“He caught a lot of people off guard. How selfless he is, what he provides the team both on and off the court.
Under Mauricio Pochettino, Gallagher has been a constant in the starting lineup and has had a strong season wearing a Chelsea shirt. It continues to appear as though he may be departing Stamford Bridge this summer, and his future with the Blues is still extremely unknown. However, Gallagher might be offered a new contract by Chelsea and be allowed to stay with the team if he puts up a strong showing tonight and perhaps during the remainder of the Euros. Or perhaps they’ve already made up their minds to sell him, making it irrelevant what he accomplishes at the Euros in order to balance the books? We’ll find out in time.
