Manchester United is hopeful that they will prevail against AC Milan in the competition to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna, according to an English newspaper.
To the best of our knowledge, Milan’s route to Zirkzee is still blocked. Bologna has already received word from the management that they intend to fulfill the €40 million provision in the player’s contract, and they have also verbally agreed on personal conditions.
The sale is on hold because to his agent Kia Joorabchian’s commission request. Before the sale can move forward, negotiations with him will be required because the initial request for €15 million was turned down.
The most recent information from Sky Sports UK states that there is currently “cautious optimism that a deal can be done” and that Manchester United “remain in positive talks with Zirkzee’s representatives” regarding his possible arrival at Old Trafford.
United confirms that they are willing to fulfill the Dutchman’s €40 million (£33.8 million) release clause, but they still have competition to overcome. The 23-year-old is now in Germany for the European Championship, and according to Sky, other teams interested in signing him include Juventus, Milan, and Arsenal.
The Red Devils’ position on the commission requests isn’t stated, but given the wealth of Premier League teams, it’s possible that they will be more willing to pay.Zee following “positive talks”
