Italian media reported that Arsenal is about to reach an agreement with young midfielder Ricardo Calafiori for a transfer price of less than 50 million euros.

Corriere dello Sport newspaper said that Arsenal is approaching the price agreement stage for the contract to recruit midfielder Ricardo Calafiori from Bologna Club. The “Gunners” have made an offer worth 47 million euros for the best midfielder of EURO 2024.

Personal negotiations between Calafiori and Arsenal have also made significant progress. Arsenal offers a long-term contract until 2029 with a salary of 3.5 million euros per season.

The price offered by Arsenal is close to the 50 million euros Bologna requested. Bologna has not yet accepted this offer from Arsenal. They still decided to wait for some other offers with higher prices.

On July 1, Bologna Club Director, Giovanni Sartori, confirmed that Calafiori will not join Juventus. This means that moving to the Premier League is the most likely option for the 22-year-old player. The Italian team hopes to earn at least 50 million euros for this deal.
