Dayot Upamecano and Kingsley Coman missed the last step into the final at EURO 2024. The two Bayern Bayern pros lost 1:2 (1:2) to the Spanish selection on Tuesday evening in their adopted home of Munich. Central defender Upamecano was again in the French starting eleven, but attacker Coman did not play a single minute.

But the Spanish response was not long in coming: in the 21st minute, Lamine Yamal curled the ball into the corner in a spectacular fashion. Just four minutes later, Dani Olmo (25th) scored after a strong individual effort and turned the game on its head.
After the break, France threw everything forward again, but could not generate enough pressure to overcome the stable Spanish back line. Dayot Upamecano, among others, had the chance to equalize in the 63rd minute, but his header was too imprecise and missed the goal. The Spaniards will therefore face the winner of the second semi-final between England and the Netherlands in Berlin on Sunday evening (9 p.m.).
