As the first week of Chelsea’s new coach Enzo Maresca draws to a close, the team heads to Cobham for a day of double workouts.
Along with Mykhailo Mudryk, Djordje Petrovic and Armando Broja were the first of our internationals to arrive at Cobham for pre-season, adding depth to his roster. They had a later break after representing Serbia and Albania at Euro 2024.
Our new recruits Tosin Adarabioyo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Omari Kellyman now have two teammates to get to know. Kellyman, a former Fulham defender, is reflecting on his adjustment to the club life since joining us from our rivals in the summer.
I’m getting along with all the boys, so I’m settling in extremely well, Adarabioyo added. “We’ve had some productive sessions recently, and I’m simply taking pleasure in playing football.”After only one week of training with Maresca, the defender is already thrilled by the caliber of their workouts.
It’s been a short time, but his attention to detail and the significance of each pass and touch are already apparent. So far, everything has been going well with the ball. We have mostly focused on passing and possession drills, with only a few runs thrown in.
The effort is put forth during the preseason. Pre-season is crucial because that’s when you get your foundations.
