Three Man United players excelled against Rosenborg, while three others suffered

Rosenborg defeated Manchester United 1-0 on Monday to begin the 2024 preseason campaign for the team.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Even though none of United’s stars participated in the Copa America or the Euros this summer, players like Jonny Evans, Casemiro, Mason Mount, Marcus Rashford, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka all saw 45 minutes of action.

The only player from the Red Devils to play in both halves, 20-year-old keeper Radek Vitek, was denied a goal in the third minute of added time, ending the game seemingly goalless.Preseason games, however, are more about fitness levels and individual players showcasing their abilities than they are about the outcome.

After watching Monday’s game, CHRIS WHEELER of Mail Sport identified three players who excelled and three who didn’t.

In the first half, the 6′ 6″ Czech goalie kept Erik ten Hag’s team in the match. Despite not making his debut last season, Collyer was included in the matchday squad multiple times. However, it is anticipated that the 20-year-old will play at some point in the upcoming campaign.
