In front of an estimated 70,000 spectators at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday at lunchtime, Real Madrid formally introduced Kylian Mbappe as their new player.
The 25-year-old French international had his medicals done early on Tuesday morning after agreeing to a five-year deal with the Spanish giants.
Then, with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez present, the ex-PSG player went to the Valdebebas training center to sign his contract.
The Bernabeu was packed to capacity for the player’s unveiling, as Real Madrid have been pursuing him for years. Zinedine Zidane, another legendary figure in French football and a former Madrid player and coach, was also in attendance.
All of you, including the president and Florentino, have made it possible for me to be here, and I am very grateful.Today is really fantastic. “This means a lot to me, and I have dreamed of it since I was a boy,” Mbappe told the gathered fans.
“My goal is to reach this club’s level…The forward went on to tell the kids in the stands, “If you have passion, you can fulfil your dreams. I will give everything for this club and this badge”. You might be the one up here one day.
On August 18th, Mbappe will make his La Liga debut away at Mallorca for Real Madrid’s season opener, and a week later, he will make his home debut against Valladolid.
Arsenal make a bid for Real Madrid player, and his entourage wants him out
A Real Madrid player’s entourage is pushing for a summer transfer away from the Bernabeu, and he supposedly has an offer to join Arsenal.
Edu is actively trying to bolster Arsenal’s roster with a slew of new recruits…In the upcoming weeks, Sporting director Edu Gaspar and manager Mikel Arteta will be looking to improve several aspects of the team. Arsenal is also anticipated to help Arsenal release a few more important players, after Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga.Lokonga, who spent last season with Luton Town, joined Sevilla on a short-term agreement, and Tavares, who joined Lazio on a season-long loan that will become permanent for almost £7.5 million, did the same.
They will likely be followed out the door by Arteta’s periphery players like Aaron Ramsdale and Thomas Partey. Over the past year, Partey has witnessed a significant decline in his starting eleven role, as he only made fourteen Premier League appearances while playing under Arteta.
Partey, who is 31 years old, is drawing interest from clubs in Turkey and Saudi Arabia as his future with Arsenal seems increasingly uncertain; his contract is also about to expire in less than 11 months.
One other thing: Ramsdale, the goalie, had to sit on the bench last year as David Raya stole his job. After completing a £27 million transfer to the Emirates, Raya became a permanent Arsenal player and appears to be Arteta’s top choice going forward.
