Adrien Rabiot will engage in negotiations with Liverpool and Manchester United in the days ahead following his departure from Juventus.

 

After exhausting his contract at the Allianz Stadium, the 29-year-old Frenchman became a free agent at the beginning of the month. He will formally proclaim his departure from the Italian giants this week.

This decision is expected to result in a number of major European clubs making their move, and the midfield maestro will consider a move to the Premier League in the face of interest from two of England’s most prominent clubs.

Rabiot intends to consult with all of his prospective employers, including Liverpool and United, as he evaluates his subsequent move, as reported by Football Italia.Newcastle is another club that is expected to engage in discussions with Rabiot, while AC Milan and Napoli, which are currently under the management of Antonio Conte, will endeavor to persuade him to remain in Italy.

Rabiot is seeking a contract worth £7.5 million annually, a sum that may be considered excessive by clubs in Serie A. In their final contract offer, Juventus stipulated a basic salary of £5.8m.

In recent years, Rabiot has been frequently associated with a transfer to the Premier League, and Manchester United have been longtime devotees of the midfielder.Before then-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decided against pressing forward with a deal, Rabiot was in talks with the Red Devils while he was still on the books at Paris-Saint Germain. And Rabiot was once again on the club’s radar after Erik ten Hag was appointed; however, negotiations for a contract were unsuccessful.Manuel Ugarte is believed to be a target for United this summer, as they are currently seeking midfield reinforcements. Nevertheless, the club’s transfer budget is restricted, and they will likely need to sell in order to finalize a deal for the Uruguayan international when they close on Leny Yoro. The possibility of acquiring Rabiot without incurring a transfer fee may be appealing.
