After Spain won Euro 2024, Marc Cucurella kept his word and dyed his hair crimson.
While cheering on La Roja to their first European Championship title since 2012, several Spain supporters sported wigs reminiscent of Cucurella.
Even though the Chelsea defender has gone through a hairstyle change, his signature long curls are still present.
Instead, Cucurella dyed his dark hair the famous red of Spain following the trophy lift in Berlin, replacing his dark hair with the color.
Posting photos of his new style on Instagram, the 25-year-old captioned them with what is essentially a Spanish translation of the following: “Promise is debt.”
If Cucurella were to win the European championship, he had promised to do it during the group stage.”If we win the title, I’ll have my hair dyed red,” he said on the radio show El Partidazo.
His fiancée Claudia Rodriguez brought up her partner’s vow once more following La Roja’s 2-1 semi-final victory over France.
“Marc promised somewhere that he would dye his hair red.”
“But he didn’t promise me anything and I won’t force him to do it.”The rest of his squad is also smitten with his new style.
A number of people laughed and Trevoh Chalobah, a Chelsea player, remarked, “Yooo,” on his Instagram photo. As for his partner, she expressed her disapproval of his new haircut with the simple text “Omgggg” followed by an emoji of astonishment.
The Spaniard seemed to be reveling in the success of his nation.
During his team’s celebrations, he was caught on camera standing on a table, singing about the traditional Spanish meal paella and drinking Estrella, a beer manufactured in Barcelona. He also managed to sneak a jab at Gary Neville.
The left defender joined fellow Englishman Kyle Walker in the 2024 Euro Team of the Tournament.
