SUMMER TOUR: LA 🇺🇸 Two Arsenal first team players could not participate in the pre-season trip to the US due to injury

Arsenal has embarked on their pre-season tour of the United States; however, it has been disclosed that two first-team players will not be accompanying the team due to injuries.

Arsenal initiated their preseason campaign with a 2-0 friendly victory over Leyton Orient of League One on Friday and are now preparing to depart for the United States.

Mikel Arteta’s squad will face daunting challenges against Bournemouth, Manchester United, and Liverpool prior to the commencement of the new Premier League season. They will return to the field for the start of the new season.A 26-man traveling squad, led by Captain Martin Odegaard, will embark on a long-haul journey to America. The squad will be accompanied by a number of senior players and academy aspirants.

Defensive players Kieran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu, who are both in London for additional treatment, will not be accompanying the team.Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Aaron Ramsdale, William Saliba, and Davis Raya will also be absent from the tour due to their extended recuperation period following their participation in Euro 2024.

Tomiyasu is currently undergoing rehabilitation for an existing knee injury, and Arteta is cautious about rushing the full-back into action, as it risks causing additional harm.Tierney, who sustained a groin injury during Scotland’s match against Switzerland at the European Championship, will also be unable to make the journey.

Both players will likely require additional time to prepare for the commencement of the Premier League season, as they will continue their recuperations at Arsenal’s training base.

Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe are among the notable players who have been included in Arsenal’s traveling squad, despite the fact that their futures are uncertain.

Fulham has already had a bid for Smith Rowe rejected, and Crystal Palace is also interested in submitting a formal offer for the playmaker, whose future at Arsenal has been disrupted by injuries.

Furthermore, Marseille, a French club, is interested in acquiring Nketiah in order to form an attacking partnership with Mason Greenwood.
