Numerous factors influenced the design of the Chelsea traveling uniform during that period. The athletes’ attitudes were significantly influenced by club administrators, such as Tommy Docherty. The royal blue shirt, trousers, and white socks that are a signature item for Chelsea were crafted by Docherty himself.

Two centuries later, Davе Sexton honored the Hungarian team by incorporating their colors into a Chelsea alternate uniform. Although this design evolved into the iconic ’74 stripes, its arresting aesthetics have persisted over the years.
